About the QA Engineer position

We are looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer who will be working closely with the product team to develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing tests, debugging, defining corrective actions and sharing them with the development team when necessary.

We expect you to be a team player while having critical thinking and problem-solving skills and showcasing a sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact in terms of collective success.

QA Engineer responsibilities are

  • Web and mobile application testing
  • Creation and maintenance of various tests that consist of functional and integration, regression, exploratory, end-to-end tests.
  • Transferring bugs from the production environment to the development team if necessary
  • Communicates and works with business owners to create and implement test plans and scenarios
  • Writes test scenario docs
  • Involving in manual and automatic test scripts,
  • Recording the test results (success/failure),
  • Recording new problems that arise during testing,
  • Giving ideas about new problems that arise during the test,
  • Retesting if necessary,
  • Working on the development of products, systems and processes
  • Understanding problems which came from operations team

Qualifications required for this position areas follows

  • Min 4 years of experience in software testing.
  • Strong debugging and analytical problem solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills along with strong team skills are required
  • Proficiency in software testing methodologies.
  • Experience with Web and Mobile App Testing
  • Experience in creation and execution of test frameworks and automated test sets
  • Must have the ability to think outside the box for normal and not so normal scenarios
  • Strong root-cause analysis skills
  • Knowing concepts like agile testing, continuous delivery, behavior-driven development (BDD) is a plus.
  • ISTQB Certification is a plus.
